Dr Andrew (Aviram) Fink MD FRCOphth(England) MRCGP (England), DCH, DRCOG
Dr. Fink is an Israeli Board Certified Eye Surgeon and Fellow of the Royal College of Opthalmologists (London),having specialised both in England, and in Israel at Tel Hashomer, Tel Aviv University Eye Department, qualifying in 1997. He studied Medicine at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England.
He receives adults and children with all types of eye and vision problems at his general clinic in Ra'anana, Israel,
working with the Meuchedet and Leumit Health Funds, and privately. He also receives patients through the Maccabi Health Fund in the Israeli Arab towns of Tira and Taibe.
Dr Fink worked for many years in the specialist Corneal Clinic at Tel Hashomer Hospital, and as such has an extended knowledge and special interest in solving dry eye and chronic inflammatory eye problems.
Dr Fink is an internationally recognised and trained laser vision correction specialist and has a laser vision correction clinic in Ra’anana, in which he offers patients a VIP service. He personally carries out the pre-operative and post-operative examinations and counselling in English, and performs the treatment himself at an associated laser centre.It is ideal for those who prefer their medical treatments within a private medical clinic with all its advantages, rather than attending one of the large commercial laser centres.
Dr. Fink also works as a senior surgeon with one of the largest laser vision correction companies in Israel.
In the past he was a senior surgeon with Optimax, the leading laser vision correction company in the UK. He also operated in The Netherlands regularly visiting centres in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and in Mexico. He has performed thousands of laser treatments over the last 10 years, with excellent results and enjoys the use of the most modern technology.
Between 1997-1999 Dr. Fink attended centres in Manchester and London, and visited the world famous Shiley Eye Center in San Diego, California, specialising in Laser Vision Correction and Cataract Surgery . As such is one of the few laser surgeons in Israel to have 'super specialised' in the field of refractive surgery.
He has published scientific research papers on vision correction and other topics.
Dr. Fink has trained and advised new laser surgeons both in Israel and abroad in Germany, The Netherlands, and the UK. He has also spent periods working in Gibraltar, Prince of Wales Eye Department in Sydney, Australia, and St John's Eye Hospital in Jerusalem, Israel.
